A public consulting website with a free tool for framing workflow costs
THE BUSINESS PROBLEMHow can a business owner turn recurring operational friction into a clear question worth investigating?
RESULT & STATUSThe website and Workflow Cost Estimator are publicly available. Visitors can estimate a workflow without entering an email address.
I shaped the positioning and customer journey, defined the estimator’s frequency, labor and rework inputs, and reviewed how the output explains the next discovery decision. How I build and review →
I organized the experience around repeated estimating, approval and field-to-office handoff problems. The website introduces a discovery process; the estimator gives an owner a concrete starting point for that conversation.
My decisions
Start with an observable baseline
Ask about frequency, active time and people before introducing recurring rework and direct costs.
Make the assumptions inspectable
Let the visitor use a stated public labor benchmark or their own loaded hourly cost, with an explanation of what the estimate includes.
Connect the estimate to discovery
Treat the output as a directional workflow cost. Further investigation establishes the cause, the intervention and whether a build is justified.
Explore the published work
From a recurring task to a better discovery question.
The website establishes the approach. The free estimator lets a visitor bring their own workflow into the conversation.

Choose one workflow. Identify how often it happens, how long it takes and who participates.
Inspect the cost basis. Review the benchmark or use a known company labor cost, then include relevant recurring costs.
Explain the next decision. Use the directional estimate to decide what needs closer investigation before recommending a solution.
Inspect the public product using the links above. The notes below explain what to look for.
Inspect the published experience
The live site connects the business problem, a structured discovery offer, examples of work and a free estimator. The tool has its own public page and explains its assumptions beside the inputs.

Explain what the number represents
The estimator includes entered active labor, recurring rework labor, direct failure costs and attributable monthly costs. It leaves the root cause, appropriate intervention and recoverable share for further investigation.
Evidence: Live estimator inputs and methodology notes.
